Client issues and needs
Background: In the medical field, there is a demand for streamlining diagnostic and consultation processes, but automation has not progressed due to limitations in human resources and the complexity of data processing. The client wanted to use AI to streamline these processes and conduct a PoC (Proof of Concept). However, it was necessary to process medical-specific data such as medical terminology and patient data, and satisfactory development was not possible.
Solutions provided
1. Understand the process and identify areas for efficiency:
- Through interviews with medical institutions, we gained a detailed understanding of the diagnostic and consultation processes.
- I listened to and understood the solutions and examination procedures for various symptoms.
2. Improve efficiency using AI and conduct PoC:
- To streamline the selected process, we organized the medical data and built a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system.
- We adopted an agile development process and quickly implemented a PoC. Specifically, we developed a system to streamline the diagnostic process based on data from medical records and diagnosis certificates.
Summary
We provided specific solutions and systems aimed at streamlining the diagnostic and consultation processes in response to our client's needs. Based on interviews with medical institutions, we selected points for streamlining the process using AI, and organized and RAGized the medical data. This enabled our client to use AI to diagnose patients' symptoms and propose solutions using data, something that was previously difficult.
